Trusting & Letting Go!

I’m so very excited to be in this moment right now, sharing with you and connecting as I’m writing this blog!  This is a fulfillment of two goals I have for the New Year. Starting a blog and meditating daily. You may ask what does meditating have anything to do with starting a blog? For me it would provide the mental and spiritual confidence to take the first step up the staircase of my goals, trust that my Creator has placed everything inside of me for success, and let go of doubt and fear.

The statement Trusting and Letting Go is in a book I received during my first pregnancy called Bountiful, Beautiful, Blissful by Gurmukh.  She gives illustrated, step-by-step instructions, on techniques, meditations, and exercises that will help you physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Outside of my Hero Husband, I believe one of the reasons I didn't freak out while having an unplanned, at home pregnancy with my first child, is because I read and practiced the information in this book. As a beginner in yoga and meditation this book remains one of my main resources for information, along with Yoga instructor Jamila Onyelie as one of my inspirations.

Elder Jamila Onyeali has over 20 years of experience as an instructor and teaches Hatha Yoga at the South Shore Cultural Center in Chicago every Tuesday from 11:00am-12:00pm.  I was blessed to have participated in one of her classes and she is a wonderful teacher!

Trusting and Letting Go, is something we all need to sit and meditate on, from time to time.  As we have new experiences, circumstances in life may cause us to second guess ourselves, lose focus, or develop resentments.  Taking the time to sit still, relax your mind, block out other people opinions, and simply listen to yourself can be so powerful.  I trust the more I do this the more I will be able to wake up every day with new creative energy and fresh ideas to share with you all.

In conclusion,

I would like to share with you a video gallery of Dawning Day Creations “Cards with Culture".  These are some of my favorite cards I have created.  They truly define the fresh and unique look I aspire to achieve after Trusting and Letting Go.  These cards also play a special place in my heart because they are rare, handmade greeting cards reflecting the style and expressions of my Afrikan community.

Peace and much appreciation,

Lecretia

The song on the video is “Closer” by Goapele.
