January Newsletter: Important message from the Founder and Team

Happy 2026! January is bringing fresh energy, intentional rest, and exciting opportunities to connect. Here's what's happening:

🎂 Celebrating:

January is extra special as we celebrate our founder's birthday month (the big day is the 14th!). We're so grateful for this community and the journey we're on together. With every purchase this month, YOU get a gift: Free bracelet made in Mali.

🌿 Digital Sabbatical:

(January 7th-18th) In the spirit of rest and renewal, our founder will be completely off the grid from January 7th through 18th—no phone, internet, emails, electronics or work. Sometimes we all need to unplug and pour back into ourselves.

What this means for you:

• Our physical and online stores remain fully open

• Store hours follow Fox Valley Mall hours

• Online orders placed during this time will ship starting January 19th

A Transparent Moment: Why Your Support Matters Now With all the uncertainty small businesses are navigating right now—store closures, forced relocations, rising costs—we're leaning into what makes us stronger: community and sustainability. Did you know that nearly 50% of small retail businesses don't make it past their fifth year? We're determined to beat those odds, and this sabbatical is part of that vision.

We're incredibly grateful for SĀF House, the business we share our storefront space with, for holding it down and representing DDC WRAPS along with their brand, while we're away.

Here's where you come in: If you've been thinking about stopping by the store or placing an online order, taking action during these 10 days would mean the world to us. Every purchase during this time gives us tangible proof...a real glimpse...that our business can thrive even when she is not directly at the helm every single day. That's legacy building, right? It shows that what we've built together has roots strong enough to grow beyond the founder. Every purchase made during this time will show Neshamah Sol wasn't crazy for meditating in the woods for over a week! :)

Note: DDC WRAPS and SĀF House are two separate businesses sharing one beautiful space in the mall. When you stop by the store, just let SĀF House know you're looking for DDC WRAPS products, and they'll point you in the right direction. We're all about lifting each other up in this space of collaboration, so shop with them as well! They have beautiful products and services!

We're celebrating all February long with:

• Black is Beautiful Collection sourced from Kenya and local BIPOC designers

While we won't be hosting our annual Black History Month event in the mall this year, we're doing something different! We'll have mini pop-ups at the store on weekends throughout February. Keep an eye out around January 25th for our vendor application. We love featuring amazing BIPOC business owners you can discover and support.
